2023 CSA PROGRAM

Get the freshest produce and flowers from the farm each week with our CSA. We're growing your favorites—tomatoes, greens, eggplant and squash—and also adding in some of Breana's favorite Asian vegetables, herbs, and flowers. There are tons of ideas and recipes for what to do with them, too. Everything is harvested, washed and packed so you can simply stop by and take home your goods. And in addition to your weekly pick-up, our farmstand will be fully stocked with additional vegetables, herbs, flowers, eggs, beef, pork, chicken, baked goods, and so much more.

This year we have 2 pickup locations: our farmstand and Hula (this is for Hula members only). Please indicated your preferred pickup location at checkout.

CSA members also get first dibs at our events, such as our farm dinners and knife sharpening, and our eggs, Cornish hens, pastured chicken, and turkeys.

We hope you'll join us this season.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions

What does CSA stand for and what is it, exactly?

CSA stands for community-supported agriculture, and at its core, is a way for community members to pledge their support to a local farm by purchasing shares of the farm's produce upfront. This allows us to get an idea of demand at the beginning of the year so we can plan crops at a better yield and price throughout the season.

What are the benefits of joining a CSA?

By helping us plan, you will receive guaranteed weekly shares of a variety of the best produce (with the option to add eggs and/or poultry) at a discounted rate. You can also check out our MEMBER BENEFITS page to see all the bonuses you'll get when you sign up for one of our CSA shares.

When will the CSA seasons run?

Our Summer Vegetable 2023 season will begin the week of June 7 and run through the week of September 12. The Flower CSA will run June 27 to September 12.

Our Fall 2023 season will begin the week of October 3rd and run through the week of November 21st.

What will be included in my weekly box?

Summer 2023 shares might include: carrots, bok choy, lettuces, zucchini, parsley, onions, dill, basil, collards, cauliflower, cucumbers, celery, peas, beets, summer squash, peppers, tatsoi, radishes, eggplant, potatoes, tomatoes, cabbage, green beans, watermelon, cherries ... and MORE.

Fall 2023 shares might include: acorn squash, greens, dill, onions, potatoes, radishes, kale, cabbage, Brussel sprouts, garlic, peppers, spinach, leeks ... and MORE.

What if there is an issue with crop production?

While we are diligently mapping out our production plan for all of 2023, we do know that things happen and we have plenty of backup plans. As we get closer to the start of the CSA season, we will let members know what to be expecting each week, but if there is an issue with quantity, quality or availability on any given week we will make sure to replenish your share with something else equally as delicious.

Will I miss out on items if I buy into one of the smaller shares?

Absolutely not! We have designed our shares so that no matter which one fits your needs the best, you will get to sample everything we offer each week. You can check out our sample box list above to see how the sizes vary, but you'll never have to worry about missing out on our produce and herbs.

How will I know what to do with all of the produce I receive?

We take pride in the fact that we offer a plethora of produce from our farm, including a wide variety of Asian vegetables. We're also lucky that one of our owners happens to have a background in recipe development, so there is no shortage of variety there, either. Each week, you will have a recipe card included in your bundle that will give you an idea of what to do with one or more items in your bundle.

What if I am unable to pick up my share one week?

If at any point during your CSA season you are unable to come by during our scheduled pick-up window (Tuesday from 3:30-6 p.m.), you have a few options:

1) You can let someone else collect it for you;

2) You can request a different pick-up date/time;

3) You can donate your missed share to our charity partner and the fresh vegetables will go to a local organization that distributes goods to families in need.

Please EMAIL US no later than 24 hours prior to pick-up so that necessary arrangements can be made.
